About PotterybyRG

Hi! I’m Rutwik, a Sydney-based small-batch ceramic artist and the hands behind PotterybyRG, creating ceramics for everyday use and vessels as art objects.

Drawing on my landscape architecture background, I handcraft dinnerware, sculptural pieces, and botanical-painted vases inspired by natural landscapes. Most of my forms feature delicate curves and rounded shapes, accentuated by drippy, flowing, and colourful glazing.

Each colour-glazed and botanical-painted piece is unique and entirely handmade. Primarily wheel-thrown using white stoneware, each piece is thoughtfully finessed and kiln-fired with a food-safe glaze.

As an evolving artist and practitioner, I constantly push the clay to test my limits, exploring forms to create one-of-a-kind pieces with both bright colours and neutral, earthy glazes.
